What Diwigo does not do
A social network is judged as much by what it refuses as by what it offers. Here are our refusals, in black and white.
"If it is free, you are the product." Not here: Diwigo sells nothing about you to anyone, and does not hold you against your will.
What you will never find here
Six refusals, kept since day one.
No opaque algorithm
Your feed is time passing and the people you choose. When a post moves down, you know why: the relationship cooled. Nothing is hidden, nothing is "optimized for engagement".
No advertising
No ads, no sponsored content, no brand slipped between two updates from your close ones. Ever.
No data resale
Your data never leaves Diwigo. No brokers, no "partners", no ad profiling. And you can take everything with you in one click.
No endless scrolling
The progressive lock invites you to react before going on. Diwigo is not built to keep you as long as possible, but to send you off with livelier bonds.
No open sign-up
You come in with a code from someone close. No mass fake accounts, no strangers knocking on your door: every member answers for those they bring in.
No exposed children
Accounts under 18 never post publicly, cannot be followed by anyone and never appear in suggestions. A responsible adult watches over them.
And what Diwigo does in return
Four promises that follow from the refusals above.
Your data is yours
From your settings, one click gives you a complete archive: posts, photos, relationships, messages. Leave whenever you want, with everything.
A network of close ones
Five invitations per person, more on request. The network grows between people who know each other — and who answer for those they invite.
Trust comes from close ones
No ID required. When several close ones confirm they know someone in real life, their profile shows it. The network vouches, not a form.
Made in Switzerland
Designed, hosted and maintained in Switzerland by a small, reachable team. A question, a complaint: the Contact page leads to humans.
These commitments will not change. If they ever had to, you would hear it before we did.
Feel like really reconnecting?
Diwigo is more than a network: it's a way to build real connections, sincerely.
